I hope you all had a fantastic weekend. I fully intend on doing a recap of our Easter festivities however I only have time for a quick post tonight. Work was crazy busy and then I had a Girls on the Run 5k Planning Committee meeting this evening. Plans are starting to come together!
Last week’s workouts were okay – nothing spectacular. I ended up having two rest days and only two running days. I have been having some pain in my ankles and lower calves after running. I’m not sure whether I’m pushing myself too hard or if it’s time for new shoes. I have my 10k race coming up on Sunday so I’ve been taking it a little easy on the running. I definitely do not want to get hurt before the big day. The weird part is, my ankles/calves do not bother me at all while I’m running, only after??
- Monday – Bootcamp Workout A
- Tuesday – 3 mile run
- Wednesday – Rest (icing the ankles)
- Thursday – Bootcamp Workout B
- Friday – Rest
- Saturday – 4 mile run (against the wind)
- Sunday – Bootcamp Workout C

This week’s schedule looks like this:
- Monday – Rest
- Tuesday – 2 mile run
- Wednesday – Bootcamp Workout A
- Thursday – 2 mile run
- Friday – Rest
- Saturday – Bootcamp Workout B
- Sunday – Hershey 10k
I will probably add some stretching and lots of icing into the mix!!
Question: Any tips for dealing with ankle/calf pain?
