Goals for June

It’s already June?  Where has this year gone?  I thought I would spend a little time tonight setting some goals for June.

goals

1.  Finish 1 book (“The Last Song”) and read 1 more – Getting closer to my 6 books goal for all of 2011.

2.  Try 3 new recipes this month – I have a ton of recipes starred in my Google Reader and just as many flagged in the stack of magazines sitting in my dining room.  Time to try some of them out!

3.  Finish Couch to 5K and run my 5K race on June 18th – I can not believe I am almost finished with the program and the race is just around the corner…eek!  I’m getting excited!

4.  Try a yoga workout -  I want to work on my stretching and flexibility and I think yoga would help me make the most of my strength training and running.

Question:  What is one of your goals for the month of June?

Hi! I just found your site. I’m from the Harrisburg area as well! My goal is to continue working on a half marathon training plan that I started awhile ago. I had a bit of a hiatus because I was sick and the weather was horrible (rainy), but I have really tried to get myself back on track. I hope that I will continue with that dedication throughout June (and onward)!!!!

I would like to try yoga as well. I’ve done some things at home, but have been too scared to go to an actual class!!

Hi Casey!! Good luck with your half marathon training plan! What half marathon are you planning on running?

Well, I’m not sure yet. I’m pretty sure my options are Harrisburg in Sept, Hershey in October, or one near Lancaster in November. I haven’t committed to any because I’m not really sure if I will stick with the plan the whole way through. I have a busy, busy fall coming up, so don’t want to put too much added pressure on myself in case I don’t have enough time to do the long runs!!

I hope it works out for you and you get the opportunity to run that half marathon. I’m fairly new to running and hope some day to be able to run a half marathon!
