Operation Beautiful

Tonight was the last night of Kinderdance for the girls.  I thought tonight would be the perfect time to take advantage of an opportunity that I have been anxiously waiting for.

I posted my first Operation Beautiful note!!!

Kinderdance was held at our local middle school so I knew the target audience would be appropriate.  Also, on the nights that the girls have Kinderdance, the local high school color guard practices in the gym so there are several teenage girls using the bathroom.

The joy and excitement I felt after posting the note was AMAZING!!  Shortly after posting it, a group of girls got a break from color guard practice and went to the bathroom.  I couldn’t help but smile knowing that all those girls were seeing my note!!

For those not familiar with Operation Beautiful, I encourage you to check out the website…www.operationbeautiful.com

“The goal of the Operation Beautiful website is to end negative self-talk or “Fat Talk.”  If this little blog only does one productive thing, I hope it helps readers realize how truly toxic negative self-talk is  — it hurts you emotionally, spiritually, and physically.”

There is an Operation Beautiful book that I am currently reading too.  It’s truly amazing!

I can’t wait to post more notes!!

Question:  Have you ever heard of Operation Beautiful?  If not, please check it out!

Just this week I saw a young girl on RT 24, near Target, holding up a large You are Beautiful poster. She made me smile!

Operation Beautiful is brilliant. People of all ages benefit from such simple words. Too often we let the negative thoughts overpower the positive thoughts to the point where you lose yourself…When you see an operation beautiful note a part of yourself gets pulled back to the light. LOVE IT!!
